| Project: | FSquared worked with Barratt at bid stage for the third phase of a large housing scheme, developing 806 new homes in Nuneaton. FSquared developed proposals around maximising community benefit from the development. Proposals covered the following themes: • community and stakeholder engagement • community support • employment and training • long term stewardship |

Outcomes
FSquared developed proposals around:
• Community and Stakeholder Engagement
o creating a dedicated community newsletter
o provision for public art
• Community Support for New and Existing Residents within the Community
o activities to integrate the community, e.g. meeting local police and council representatives, community days, litter picking activities
o working with a landscape architect to produce plans for a new Wetlands Ecology Park
• Employment and Training
o Developing a brand new extension to Camp Hill’s Opportunities Centre to provide further training to local people for jobs, sponsored by Barratt and serviced by a dedicated minibus
o Providing work experience placements for local people to gain experience in all disciplines within Barratt Homes
o Local business support
• Long Term Stewardship
o establishing a working group to bring together all agencies that may have a role in the long term stewardship
o drawing up an Action Plan that details all aspirations for the estates management and agree specifications
o designing open spaces and routes to encourage connectivity between green spaces and informal socialising, giving the community a sense of ownership.
